01-03-2006 - Café-style vending concept to refresh the office cuppa
The innovative concept, named ‘Café Joe’, is based on “Refresh Zones” and will offer the first true quality, high-street-style drinking experience within the workplace.
One of the major differentiators between Café Joe and other in-house vending options are the ingredients. All Café Joe ingredients have been chosen with three objectives: quality, value for the client and a fair deal for the producer, which means all ingredients are ethically sourced. The Arabica coffee, for example, is from Colombia, via the National Federation of Colombian Coffee Farmers, leaf tea is from Kenya, via the Ethical Tea Partnership, and the drinking chocolate range is Fairtrade approved.

Vendia promise that Café Joe won’t be a headache for facilities managers as they provide all the backup via state-of-the-art vending machines and highly trained staff, on hand around the clock. If a problem does occur, Vendia promise to have a member of staff available to fix the problem within four hours and say they fix 95% of snags first time.
The Café Joe machine range includes free-standing and table-top vending machines plus traditional and fully automatic espresso machines as well as water-coolers. Snack and cold drink machines are also available.
National Sales Director, John Brothers continues: “We’ve spoken to companies who want to create a chill-out area for their staff, so we’ve worked with them to create a Café Joe based zone for them to relax in. We have also created areas for busy offices where meetings are happening all the time and you just need a decent coffee – again Café Joe can provide all of this. The biggest installation so far has been at a major solicitors’ office in Northampton where 14 drinks areas and two bean-to-cup machines have been fitted.
