16-12-2002 - New CEO for Benchmark Vending Group
On the 18th of November, Mike Potts was appointed as CEO
of Benchmark Vending Group.
Mike joins Benchmark with valuable experience of leading rapid growth in private
companies, having been a senior Director at flooring manufacturer Amtico and
a key player in its £50m management buyout in 1995.
He also has a wide ranging background in sales and marketing management, strategy,
and operations with Courtaulds, Shell and Metal Box.
With this background and experience Mike is ideally suited to lead the group
in its next phase of development towards becoming a major player in the European
vending industry.
Commenting on his appointment, Mike said "I am delighted to join Benchmark
at this important time for the business. I am very much looking forward to
further developing the Benchmark strategy of focussing on providing quality
beverage and snack solutions nationwide through local presence and regional
strength. I am confident that this strategy will allow us to achieve our ambition
of doubling the size of our company in the next few years."
Doug Smith and Jivan de Silva, co-founders of Benchmark Vending Group will
remain in the business as Board Members and shareholders in the group and will
actively assist on finance matters and future acquisitions.
