01-2007 - Corby vending company scoops top prize
Corby-based vending business, Integer, part of the Vendia Group, has received a prestigious award from the Corby Business Group. The company was voted best small or medium sized business in the area for 2006 in recognition of its strong sales growth and innovative training and development policies.
The company, which has 75 staff and around 1500 customers across the Midlands, has invested more than £150,000 into customer care in the last year. The award was presented to Ray Gilchrist, Commercial Manager of Integer (pictured left) by local radio presenter Bob Gerard. Integer Managing Director Phil Millard commented: ‘This award is a welcome recognition of the commitment and enthusiasm of our staff in providing excellent customer service levels. It also reflects our policy of providing ethically traded products that adapt to changing market requirements.’
Over 10 per cent of staff at Integer have been with the business for more than a decade and more than 30 of them have been with the company for more than five years. Integer was one of the first UK vending companies to achieve "The Quality Initiative" of the AVA (Automatic Vending Association) - their highest Quality Service award. It also holds the Investors in People Award.
